The Indian Abacus is a "A Tool for calculation and Brain skills". The nimble fingers of a young child could manipulate the sliders for calculation purposes. It is semi abstract and pictorial with colour display in representing numbers. Numbers are represented by the slider positions displaying colour. |

1 digit - 3 rows,
1 & 2 digits - 3, 4 & 5 rows.
Children are trained to sit with the right body posture – discipline inculcated. Palms on table, Holding of Abacus & Pencil – the prerequisites to skill-learning. Introduced to Play way learning creating interest. Children are trained to sit focused.

The child would demonstrate interest in learning.
Manipulating the sliders / colour images representing the numbers initially a little slowly, the child gains speed encountering more and more sums, resulting in speedy calculation.
Concentration skills develop due to – developing of interest in learning abacus calculations, need to observe closely sitting for longer duration of time than the child is normally used to.
Relating images to numbers.

The student will be allowed to access web based program / activities for a maximum of 120 days (4 months). The student should work for a minimum of 25 hours in full for learning the skills.

How to Start On-line Learning, Practicing and taking assessments:
Sit before the computer (PC or Laptop) with the internet connection and switch on the computer and access the Online Indian Abacus site (www.indianabacus.in) to start working.
Using Indian Abacus-Digital you will have total digital connection. Connect your Indian Abacus Digital device to the computer using the USB connector and switch on the Indian Abacus device and set the right menu options for you to work. Once you are ready with connections, as you go on manipulating the sliders on the Indian Abacus-Digital device looking at the web-page sum, you will be able to see the values/answers on the LCD screen of the device and you can submit the answers on to the designated web-page by just pressing the "submit" button. There will not be any need for using other accessories of the computer that is either the mouse or the Key board. The cursor on the web-page to the appropriate location will automatically move.

How to Start On-line Learning, Practicing and taking assessments:
Sit before the computer (PC or Laptop) with the internet / Wi-Fi connection and switch on the computer and access the Online Indian Abacus site (www.indianabacus.in) to start learning / working.
Using Indian Abacus - Non Digital, you have to read the value / answer looking at the colour images on the Abacus and enter the answer each time on the web-page answer slot by keying in the same using the computer key board. Mouse wherever necessary has to be used. The cursor on the web-page to the appropriate location will automatically move. All Web-based operations and data storage after the submission of the answers are common.
